Nathan Summers has traveled back in time to prevent a future war between man and mutant. The soldier called Cable uses his mutant abilities to fight for a better tomorrow – and seeks his own fate as a man out of time! A telepathic and telekinesis mutant, Cable’s physical attributes have been enhanced to superhuman levels. Although his telekinesis allows him to levitate objects and erect protective force shields, he must turn the majority of his energies inward to prevent the techno-organic virus with which he is infected from ravaging the remainder of his body. Cable’s techno-organic left arm and shoulder possess even greater strength than his entirely organic right appendage. Similarly, his right eye enables him to see into the infrared spectrum.

Cain Marko is a human Juggernaut. Once he begins moving in a certain direction, no power on Earth can stand in his way. Scientists would classify him as an "irresistible force" – and when he gets a head of steam, there’s no object he can’t move. The Juggernaut possesses untold power, mystical in nature, which enhances his strength and grants him an extraordinary degree of resistance to all forms of injury. Once he begins moving in a certain direction, no force on Earth can stop him – only slow his pace. Sustained by the Crimson Gem of Cyttorak, Cain Marko can survive indefinitely without food, water, or oxygen. However, Juggernaut is vulnerable to magical forces of sufficient strength. Without his helmet, constructed of an unknown mystical metal, he is susceptible to psionic attack.

On his final assignment, FBI special agent, Frank Castle plays his under cover role perfectly, but the operation spins out of control and a young man, Bobby Saint, is inadvertently killed. This places Castle on the wrong side of Tampa businessman Howard Saint. Behind the Saint’s copious wealth are violent beginnings, underworld ties and a chilling capacity for brutality. Inflamed by the death of their son, Howard Saint and his lieutenants wreak havoc at the Castle family reunion. But Castle, to his everlasting torment, survives. Drawing upon all he has learned in 20 years, Castle sets in motion a brilliant plan to punish Howard Saint. As the Punisher, Castle has no superpowers to battle the evil he sees – only his fierce intelligence, his years of combat experience and, above all, his iron determination to avenge those wronged by society’s villains.
