Biography:

Before the battle between good and evil mutants escalated to the brink of genetic war, carefree millionaire Warren Worthington III was the high-flying, heroic Angel. Warren Worthington is a mutant who can fly by means of natural wings, which span 16 feet from tip to tip. Angel’s entire anatomy is adapted for flight: His bones are hollow like a bird’s, his body is virtually devoid of fat, he possesses greater proportionate muscle strength than a normal human, his eyes can withstand high-speed winds, and a special membrane in his respiratory system allows him to extract oxygen from the air at extreme velocities and altitudes.

The Black Panther’s superhuman abilities – including enhanced senses, strength, speed and agility – stem from his ingestion of a mystical heart-shaped herb administered only to Wakandan kings during a sacred ascension ritual. An accomplished gymnast and acrobat, T’Challa is also an expert tracker. In addition, he has mastered various African martial arts. Nobel champion. Vigilant protector. Black Panther.

Scott Summers, one of Professor Charles Xavier’s first recruits, is stalwart leader of the X-Men. Xavier took in Scott in to his "Institute for Gifted Children" in Westchester County, New York when he discovered the young man’s uncontrollable ability to release immensely destructive force beams from his eyes, and began training the boy in the use of his incredible power. Scott firmly believes in the professor’s dream of human and mutant coexistence. Cyclops possesses the mutant ability to project a beam of concussive force from his eyes. Unable to control the blasts, Cyclops prevents the energy from escaping by wearing ruby-quartz lenses – the only substance able to diffuse his awesome power.

Biography:

Whether operating undercover or fronting a band of thieves, the metamorphic mutant known as Mystique possesses an almost pathological capacity for deception. A mutant metamorph, Mystique can psionically shift the atoms and molecules of her body and clothing so as to mimic the appearance of any human, humanoid, or semi-humanoid being of either sex. Her control is so precise she can exactly replicate another person’s retina, finger, palm and skin-pore patterns; even vocal cords are not beyond her ability to duplicate. A sworn enemy of the human race, Mystique wages a one-woman war against those who hate and fear mutants.

Biography:

The Russian mutant Arkady Rossovich was transformed into a "super soldier" by the KGB, but he could not control his abilities and was placed into suspended animation. Recovered by agents of the ninja clan known as the Hand, Omega Red soon clashed with the X-Men, particularly Wolverine. Omega Red secretes an airborne toxin from his body that kills those in his immediate vicinity. Also, his arms are long coils made of Carbonadium, an alloy similar to Adamantium.

*Biography:

Android assassins birthed by misguided minds to eradicate the mutant menace, the Sentinels most often have met defeat at the hands of their intended targets: the X-Men. The destruction of these mechanical marvels invariably leads to the development of enhanced models.
